Aureum is a middle-aged elf and current Archdruid of the Averwyn Order's Encana tribe. He took over as Archdruid when his wife and Averwyn's former Archdruid, Rune, was killed by necromancers who sought to destroy their home. It was with a heavy heart that he assumed the role, but he has shown to be an effective and caring leader, a gentle, quiet soul who wishes for the best for his people.

As Archdruid, he oversees the order and often leads their prayers, rituals, and celebrations. He has a warm smile, but there is definite pain behind his eyes. His wife had been his everything, and even a hundred years cannot heal his broken heart.

He is very protective of his daughter Aeronwen, but he has learned through the years that despite the curse that she is afflicted with, she is resilient as her mother was. It took him many years to accept that she had an untamed spirit and it was wrong of him to try and keep her safe, because in doing so, he was smothering her light.

Through Alastriona's grace, times since the battle that took his wife have been largely peaceful. Under his power, the order has seen much growth and prosperity, and he is adored by all. Like Aeronwen, he has a deep love for the unicorns of the village, especially Aelwyn, the matriarch of the herd. He knows that without her, he would have lost his daughter as well.

His greatest strengths come from his ability to change his form. His "wild shape" ability is virtually unparalleled, able to transform into a variety of powerful beasts. One of his greatest passions is to commune with the flora and fauna that surround his people, and he often takes the form of a dire brown bear as he patrols the woodlands around his home.
