Unicorns are a rare species throughout most of the realm, however they are abundant in the areas surrounding the Aimhirghin Order. They are intrinsic to the belief system of this order and like the elves, they are devoted to their goddess Ehlenestra. Every unicorn has a deep, spiritual connection to Ehlenestra, and they proudly serve as her eyes and ears on earth while she lives in the celestial plane.

Although unable to speak with words, unicorns can speak through feelings, smells, and images sent telepathically to others. However, this ability is one they guard well, and trust must be earned before they will share this gift with another.

Their power is immense as they reach adulthood, with the strength of four horses their size, and the ability to provide healing magic by channeling Ehlenestra's divine enrgy through their horn. The degree of healing ability and power varies between unicorns, with some able to provide minor healing effects and others able to heal entire legions when the time comes. This ability is one which must be honed over many, many years.

Their beauty and magic often attract poachers, who sell their hides, hooves, and horns in the underground black market. Their parts are often claimed to hold magical healing properties, however this is a scam, their magic leaves their bodies as soon as their soul does.
