Rosemary had a troubled childhood. As a wolf shifter, she was feared by many of the children, and often bullied by them. Her parents were used to that kind of treatment so it hardly bothered them when they heard a snide comment thrown their way, but it deeply upset Rose. As a teenager, she happened upon a band of wolf shifters traveling through the forest. They promised her a better life, where she'd be surrounded by those who understood her. She left her family that night, leaving a letter in the kitchen explaining that she'd found the answer to her prayers and she could finally live a life unjudged.
Or so she thought. This "pack," known as the Lykos Clan, because their base was deep within the Lykos cave system, was fine in the beginning, and she felt free to be herself. She met her future husband, Ronnie, there.
Years past, and things began to change. The leader became more animalistic and barbaric. The members started to identify more with being a wolf and less with being a human. Babies were now "pups" and the leader was now the "alpha," following a false understanding of natural wolf behavior, twisting it into something dark, aggressive, and dangerous.
It was around this time that Rose became pregnant with Rory, their first child. They knew they had to leave, and so they did, ont he night of a full moon, when their wolf strength would be at its peak, hoping they would be able to flee the cult-like system they'd become a part of. They wanted Rory to have the best life possible, and they knew that this was not it.
An older, brain-washed clan member tried to stop them from leaving. They tried to get away, but he started to fight, and soon another wolf shifter was at the scene. Rose and Ronnie fought hard, and eventually escaped, but not without serious injury. Despite the pain, they carried on, running far and hard, knowing they had to reach civilization before it was too late.
They collapsed just outside a small town called Wimborne, just outside of Valara. They were found the next day in human form, covered in blood. The local healer nursed them back to health, and they were soon on their way to recovery.
Once better, they knew they had to tell the town that they weren't normal humans. Some were fearful, but many were understanding. They were accepted over time by all, and as thanks, every full moon they shift into wolves, defending the town from encroaching animals that may harm the livestock. They also opened up Ronnie and Rose's Tailor Shop, following their love for sewing and designing.
Rory was born soon after, followed by Randi years later. Rose adored her children and always encouraged them to be the best versioins of themselves they could be. It crushed her when Rory left, but she was strong for Ronnie. Her disappearance devastated his soft heart.
Rose lives in Wimborne to this day, enjoying a peaceful live with Ronnie. Every night she prays that her missing daughter will return, though she is starting to lose hope.
